Picture of Our Story

Our story begins at my friends wedding. I remember walking up to the barn with the other Groom’s men and looking over to find this insanely beautiful woman in a blue dress standing across the barn and I was immediately drawn to her. I was asking everyone to find out who she was. Little to my knowledge, it’s my friend (the grooms) cousin. I just started babbling to everyone that would listen of how I had to meet her. I could not keep my eyes off her. I was just trying to find an opportunity to impress her or get her attention. My grand idea was when we do our walk outs, I’m gonna chug 2 beers at the same time. I executed it perfectly and come to find a few months later, she loved it. Anyways, later that night after dinner I finally got my opportunity to meet her. Lauren got tired of hearing me talk about how beautiful she was and not doing anything about it, so she asked me if she could go talk to her for me. Not the manliest thing in the world, but I said yes. Thankfully, Sara felt the same way about wanting to meet me all night. We got to speak for a few minutes before they called us back for desserts and I pulled her up a chair at the grooms men table and just as she’s about to sit down, she looks at me and says “I have to leave. I’m so sorry.” I was devastated, thinking I can’t believe I got rejected that quickly. So, I go back to my normal night and about half hour later, I receive a text from Sara apologizing for having to leave so early and that she really wanted to get to know me. So I immediately get excited and know there is still a chance for me. I begin hugging all her family members and as I’m hugging them I’m yelling “we’re gonna be family”. Not the greatest move, but they all loved it (and is brought up at every family function)

A week went by and we went on our first date, and don’t ask her about our first date, it was amazing and that’s all you need to know (I almost blew it because I didn’t talk due to nerves, she’s beautiful- not my fault) After the first date, I knew she was it. After each date we went on, I had to see her more and more. Everything about Sara was perfect. She completely changed me and brought me out my shell. If i wasn’t with her, we were on the phone or we were texting, and if you know me, I don’t use my phone ever. The way she told her stories, seeing her get excited over the little things, the way she smiled or laughed at me when I mispronounced things. Especially “Shittake”, she had a field day with that one. But after spending so much time together, I hated heading home and having to be without her. I just always knew she was the one, and I was right.

After the next couple months of spending everyday together and getting to know more and more about each other, I got to really learn who my future wife really is. She is the most caring, kind, patient, and all around most generous person I’ve ever met.
